Artist Info - About Me
My interest in photography started in high school after one bad senior portrait inspired me to capture my own. From there my interest in photography became a vital tool to my self discovery. Searching for beauty from behind the lens allowed me to see the beauty in myself, not my physical beauty, but beauty in the life I was creating. I was excited to go out, spend a day at the park and create something beautiful. I was excited to capture unique features in my subject and show them just how gorgeous they are.I studied photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design and was inspired by the architecture and incredible light, but mostly inspired by the people. Above all, my passion lies in photographing people; the expression on their face, the look in their eyes that tells their story of where they are going.
Photography is the perfect pallet of expression because it has taught me to live in the moment and focus on the present. I have learned to wait for the light, watch for a glance and discover the story. And I have found beauty, in my subjects, in the lives that they live, in the people that they are and in the art they are creating. My philosophy is that "My Life is My Art," continually in the making. I have found beauty in my subjects, in the lives that live, and in the people that they are... the art they are creating.
